Are you a seasoned Linux Systems Engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of High-Performance Computing (HPC)? The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is seeking a motivated and technically adept System Engineer to join the A*CRC (A*STAR Computational Resource Centre) System Team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of supporting cutting-edge scientific research by managing and optimizing mission-critical computing infrastructure.

Tanggung Jawab
- Manage, maintain, and optimize large-scale Linux-based High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters and storage systems.
- Provide expert-level technical support for system incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and high system availability.
- Implement automation scripts and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack) to streamline system administration.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and security metrics to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new research software and hardware technologies into the existing ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for infrastructure configurations and operational procedures.
- Assist in the design and execution of data center upgrades and disaster recovery planning.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Strong proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one high-level language such as Python or Perl.
- Solid understanding of HPC environments, including job schedulers (SLURM, PBS, or LSF) and parallel file systems (Lustre or GPFS).
- Hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, security best practices, and firewall management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with virtualization, containerization (Docker, Singularity/Apptainer), and cloud infrastructure is a significant advantage.
