United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA) is a leading international school with a mission to inspire young people to become compassionate, responsible, and active global citizens. At our Dover Campus in Singapore, we are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Primary School (G1–G2, ages 6–8) to join our vibrant community for a 1‑year contract beginning August 2026.
In this role, you will deliver an inquiry‑based, student‑centred curriculum aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). You will create a nurturing classroom environment that celebrates diversity, promotes curiosity, and supports the holistic development of each child. Working closely with a collaborative team of educators, you will design, implement, and assess integrated units of inquiry that develop literacy, numeracy, and interdisciplinary skills.
Key responsibilities include planning and teaching engaging lessons, using data‑driven assessment strategies, communicating effectively with parents and caregivers, and contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and professional learning opportunities.

- Deliver inquiry‑based, child‑centred lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students in G1–G2 (ages 6–8).
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and global citizenship.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting to parents and caregivers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and adapt curriculum, units of inquiry, and assessment tasks.
- Participate actively in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student achievement data.
- Engage with the broader school community, including parents, to support holistic student development.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.).
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with exposure to the IB PYP.
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Familiarity with Singapore curriculum standards or international curricula is advantageous.
- Commitment to the school’s mission of fostering intercultural understanding and personal challenge.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore (or valid employment pass).
- Willingness to relocate to Singapore for the contract period.
