Universal Robina Corporation (URC), a leading food and beverage company in the Philippines, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineer (Civil Engineer) to join our dynamic operations team at our sugar milling factory in Passi City, Iloilo.
As a Technical Engineer, you will be the technical backbone for our Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects. You will provide specialized civil and structural engineering expertise to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and safety of our sugar milling infrastructure. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from initial feasibility studies and conceptual design to construction supervision, commissioning, and final handover. You will manage contractors, monitor progress, and ensure strict adherence to budgets, timelines, and safety standards.
Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with the production, maintenance, and safety teams to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve technical issues, and implement value engineering solutions that optimize costs and enhance operational reliability. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage and oversee the technical execution of CAPEX projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, budget, and timelines.
- Provide civil and structural engineering expertise for the design, construction, and maintenance of factory buildings, structures, and infrastructure.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, project proposals, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
- Conduct site inspections, structural assessments, and feasibility studies for new and existing facilities.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet quality and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
- Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and URC safety policies.
- Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs and improve operational efficiency.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registered Civil Engineer (RCE) license is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or sugar milling environment.
- Proven experience managing CAPEX projects from inception to completion.
- Proficient in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, or similar) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willing to work in Passi City, Iloilo.
