Randstad is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager specializing in Plating/Surface Finishing to oversee production excellence in Johor. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for leading the technical strategy, optimizing chemical processes, and ensuring world-class quality standards in plating operations. You will act as the technical authority, mentoring engineering teams while driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in electroplating, surface treatment technologies, and chemical process management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges, reduce waste, and implement sustainable manufacturing practices. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and manage the end-to-end plating production process to ensure optimal output, quality, and safety standards.
- Oversee chemical bath maintenance, concentration control, and troubleshooting of plating lines.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance consistency and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce production costs and improve yield.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and production teams.
- Ensure full compliance with local environmental and safety regulations regarding chemical handling and waste disposal.
- Analyze production data to forecast equipment maintenance needs and capacity expansion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate new technologies and improve surface treatment finishes.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related technical field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in plating or surface finishing manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of electroplating chemistry, industrial water treatment, and waste management.
- Proven leadership experience in managing production teams and technical staff.
- Proficiency in ISO quality standards, environmental compliance, and safety auditing.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malay (written and spoken).
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is highly preferred.
