Google is seeking an exceptionally skilled Technical Program Manager to lead the charge in designing and implementing the next generation of fiber infrastructure for our global data centers, specifically driving the strategic initiatives of the MARCUS program across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
As a Technical Program Manager within our global infrastructure team, you will be instrumental in shaping the physical network backbone that powers Google's services – from Search and Cloud to YouTube, Maps, and Gemini. This role demands a unique blend of deep technical expertise in optical networks, rigorous project management discipline, and the strategic foresight to navigate the complex landscape of subsea and terrestrial cable systems.
You will collaborate closely with a world-class team of engineers, construction managers, procurement specialists, and external vendors to deliver complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget. From initial route planning and vendor negotiations to on-the-ground construction oversight and final testing, you will own the end-to-end delivery of critical fiber links.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the end-to-end design, planning, and implementation of fiber optic infrastructure for the MARCUS program across Google's APAC data centers.
- Manage complex, multi-million dollar budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement processes to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Define project scopes, create detailed schedules, and manage risks to ensure timely execution of network builds and upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Network Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, and Operations to align infrastructure plans with business needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, contractors, and local regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement in network design standards, construction methodologies, and operational best practices.
- Conduct technical site assessments, route planning, and feasibility studies for new fiber deployments.
- Report on program health, milestones, and key performance indicators to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications) or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in program or project management, specifically within the telecommunications, data center, or large-scale infrastructure industry.
- Deep technical understanding of fiber optic network architecture, design principles, and construction standards (e.g., OSP, ISP, DWDM).
- Proven experience managing complex, geographically distributed infrastructure projects in the APAC region.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 30% of the time for site visits and vendor meetings.
- Experience in vendor management, including RFP processes, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision making and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, MS Project).
