Are you a high-impact Technical Project Manager looking to drive infrastructure strategy at the global scale? ByteDance is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Technical Project Manager to join our Server Planning and Delivery team in Singapore. In this role, you will be the backbone of our data center infrastructure operations, bridging the gap between hardware procurement, capacity planning, and deployment execution.
You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to forecast server requirements, optimize supply chain timelines, and ensure that our global platform continues to deliver high-performance experiences to billions of users. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses deep technical acumen regarding server architecture, and excels at stakeholder management across international time zones.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead end-to-end server lifecycle management, from capacity planning and procurement to final deployment and decommissioning.
- Develop and track project timelines, ensuring hardware delivery milestones align with organizational scaling requirements.
- Coordinate with global infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize the server supply chain process.
- Manage technical documentation, including project status reports, capacity analysis, and hardware inventory tracking.
- Conduct regular cross-functional meetings to align engineering demands with vendor availability and operational capacity.
- Implement process improvements to enhance deployment speed and reduce server lead times.
- Monitor server performance metrics and hardware utilization to inform future infrastructure investments.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical project management, preferably within data center, cloud infrastructure, or hardware operations.
- Strong understanding of server architecture, hardware components, and data center ecosystem requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules and mitigate risks in a highly dynamic, global environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable project plans.
- Experience working with supply chain management tools and project tracking software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to facilitate technical discussions across engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus due to the global nature of ByteDance operations.
