About the Role
Weststar Aviation Services Sdn Bhd, a premier provider of comprehensive aviation support in Malaysia, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Technical Record Assistant to join our dynamic team based in Kerteh, Terengganu. This role is critical to ensuring the airworthiness and regulatory compliance of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Record Assistant, you will be at the heart of our technical operations. You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of aircraft maintenance records, from creation and processing to archiving and retrieval. Your primary focus will be to accurately administer all technical and modification records for our aircraft, engines, and components, ensuring every detail meets stringent CAAM, EASA, and FAA standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and planning departments to resolve discrepancies, track airworthiness directives, and support internal and external audits.

The successful candidate will possess excellent data management abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a strong foundation in aviation documentation practices. Experience in an MRO or airline environment is highly advantageous. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and communicate effectively across various teams.

Tanggung Jawab
- Administer and maintain accurate technical records for aircraft, engines, and components throughout their lifecycle.
- Coordinate and track all technical modifications, airworthiness directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs).
- Ensure all maintenance documentation complies with CAAM, EASA, and FAA regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Prepare and organize records for internal and external audits, ensuring full traceability.
- Manage the archiving, retrieval, and filing of technical publications, log cards, and work packs.
- Generate reports on maintenance status, component life limits, and modification tracking.
- Assist in the development and improvement of standard operating procedures for records management.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in technical records management within the aviation industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (CAAM, EASA, FAA) and aircraft maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database management systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must be willing to be based in Kerteh, Terengganu and able to start on a contract basis.
