In this pivotal role, you will act as a subject matter expert, providing critical guidance on technical safety standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices to ensure the integrity and safety of our diverse operations.
As a Technical Safety Advisor, you will play a hands-on role in shaping our safety culture, conducting rigorous risk assessments, and ensuring that every project adheres to the highest global safety benchmarks. Tanggung Jawab
- Provide expert technical advice on safety engineering, design, and operational procedures across all company projects.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL studies to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements, international safety codes (ISO, OHSAS, IEC), and internal corporate policies.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to implement effective preventive and corrective measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into project development phases.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for management to drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate safety workshops, training sessions, and technical briefings for site personnel and contractors.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Safety) or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in technical safety, loss prevention, or process safety management within the Oil & Gas or heavy industry sectors.
- Deep understanding of safety regulatory frameworks in Malaysia (DOSH, DOE).
- Proven track record in executing HAZOP, QRA, and ALARP assessments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence safety behaviors across all levels of the organization.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, Certified Safety & Health Officer - SHO) will be a distinct advantage.
