Berlian Laju Tanker is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Technical Superintendent to join our maritime operations team in Jakarta. As a key member of our technical department, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical integrity, operational efficiency, and maintenance standards of our assigned vessel fleet. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our ships operate at peak performance, meet rigorous international safety standards, and adhere to strict budget controls.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing dry-docking projects, planning routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Class and Flag state regulations. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the daily technical operation and maintenance of assigned vessels to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and oversee detailed technical specifications for repairs, upgrades, and dry-docking projects.
- Monitor and control vessel operating budgets, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and optimized.
- Coordinate with onboard management to address technical issues and implement corrective actions efficiently.
- Ensure full compliance with international maritime safety, quality, and environmental regulations (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL).
- Supervise repair work performed by contractors and shipyards to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Analyze vessel performance data to identify trends and proactively address potential equipment failures.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Technical Superintendent role within the tanker industry.
- Hold a valid Certificate of Competency (Class 1 or 2 Marine Engineer) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of class requirements, classification surveys, and international maritime conventions.
- Proven ability to manage technical budgets and negotiate with service providers and vendors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships.
- Proficiency in computer-based ship management software and MS Office Suite.
