SBS Transit is a leading public transport operator in Singapore, committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient services. We operate the North East Line, Circle Line, and Downtown Line, and we are looking for a motivated Technician - DTL Rolling Stock to join our maintenance team at the Gali Batu Depot.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on our fleet of electric trains, engineering vehicles, and depot equipment. You will ensure that all rolling stock systems - including traction, braking, doors, HVAC, and signalling interfaces - are maintained to the highest standards of reliability and safety. Your work will directly support the smooth operation of the Downtown Line, one of Singapore's key MRT lines.
Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, replacing components, and documenting maintenance records. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex issues and improve maintenance processes. You will also be responsible for calibrating test equipment and ensuring tools are kept in good condition.

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electric trains and rolling stock components according to maintenance plans.
- Execute corrective and emergency repairs to restore equipment functionality and minimize service disruptions.
- Diagnose faults using computer-based diagnostic systems and manual troubleshooting techniques.
- Overhaul, repair, and test mechanical, electrical, and electronic parts and systems.
- Maintain and calibrate depot machinery, test rigs, and tools.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately and report anomalies to supervisors.
- Comply with safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and environmental policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and share knowledge with junior team members.
Kualifikasi
- NITEC or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or railway maintenance (fresh graduates with strong internship background may be considered).
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including weekends and public holidays).
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Possess a safety-conscious attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
