Alcon, a global leader in eye care, is looking for a dedicated Technician III, Repair & Maintenance Engineering to join our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Tuas View, West Region. In this role you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimisation of our fully automated cleanroom equipment, ensuring the highest levels of product quality and operational continuity.
Working on a 12‑hour shift pattern, you will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimise downtime, perform preventive maintenance, and rapidly respond to equipment failures. Your technical expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support capital projects, and help maintain compliance with stringent cleanroom standards and safety regulations.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading troubleshooting and repair of automated assembly, packaging, and inspection systems.
- Executing preventive maintenance schedules and documenting all activities in the CMMS.
- Monitoring cleanroom environmental parameters and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Participating in root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
- Providing technical guidance and training to junior technicians and operators.
- Ensuring adherence to SOPs, GMP, and safety guidelines at all times.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead troubleshooting and repair of automated cleanroom equipment, including robotics, conveyors, and vision systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrate instrumentation to maintain optimal performance.
- Monitor cleanroom environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, pressure) and respond to deviations.
- Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule downtime and implement improvements.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis for equipment failures and drive corrective actions.
- Mentor and train junior technicians and support staff on best practices.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, GMP, and cleanroom standards during all maintenance activities.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Higher NITEC in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment, preferably in a cleanroom or pharmaceutical environment.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and PLC ladder logic.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work under pressure on a 12‑hour shift schedule.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and record‑keeping.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities; willingness to mentor junior staff.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBB, ISA) are an advantage.
- Must be medically fit for cleanroom work and able to wear required personal protective equipment.
