ByteDance's Global Payment team is building the next-generation payment platform for our global ecosystem. We provide comprehensive payment solutions including payment acquisition, disbursement, and transaction processing. As a Test Development Engineer, you will be the champion of quality, designing and implementing the test automation strategies that ensure our financial systems are robust, secure, and highly scalable.
In this role, you will go beyond traditional QA. You will develop test frameworks, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and design performance tests for critical payment flows. You will collaborate with world-class engineers to ensure every line of code meets the highest standards of reliability and accuracy. Tanggung Jawab
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks (functional, integration, regression) for payment systems and services.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to define quality strategies and metrics across the payment platform.
- Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable testing and deployment cycles.
- Design and execute performance, stress, and scalability tests to ensure the platform meets stringent SLAs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide actionable feedback to development teams to improve product quality.
- Drive the adoption of 'shift-left' testing practices, including code reviews, static analysis, and unit testing integration.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's overall engineering excellence.
- Stay abreast of the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices in the fintech industry.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
- Strong experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Redis) and distributed systems.
- Experience with API testing and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Prior experience in payment or fintech is a strong plus.
