About the Role
Intertek, a leading global provider of Total Quality Assurance services, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tai Seng, Singapore. In this role, you will be at the forefront of consumer protection, driving product safety testing for a diverse range of household appliances and electrical utilities. You will ensure that products comply with strict international safety standards before they hit the global market.
As a Testing Engineer, you will work in our state-of-the-art laboratories, conducting hands-on physical and electrical evaluations, evaluating design schematics, and compiling critical engineering reports. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct safety testing on household appliances and electrical utilities in accordance with international standards such as IEC/EN 60335.
- Prepare comprehensive test plans, analyze test data, and draft accurate technical test reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate product designs, electrical schematics, and components to identify potential safety hazards or design flaws.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Liaise directly with international manufacturers to address technical queries and communicate non-compliance issues.
- Stay updated on evolving international safety regulations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory testing workflows.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in testing and certification, ideally within a laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with international electrical safety standards (e.g., IEC 60335, IEC 60950, or equivalent UL standards) is highly preferred.
- Strong technical report-writing skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with laboratory testing tools, including multimeters, power analyzers, oscilloscopes, and environmental chambers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with global engineering clients.
