PT Temas Shipping is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Third Officer to join our maritime team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and readiness of vital safety systems on board our vessels. Your expertise will ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, including SOLAS and STCW standards, thereby safeguarding the lives of the crew and passengers.
You will oversee the daily upkeep of Life Saving Appliances (LSA) and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE). This includes ensuring that lifeboats, life rafts, and firefighting systems are fully operational and ready for immediate deployment in emergency situations. Additionally, you will conduct regular safety drills and maintain detailed safety logs. Join us in maintaining the highest standards of maritime safety and operational excellence.
Tanggung Jawab
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of Life Saving Appliances (LSA) and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE).
- Ensure the correct stowage, operation, and maintenance of lifeboats, life rafts, and survival suits.
- Conduct and document fire and boat drills in accordance with company policies and international regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all safety equipment inspections and drills.
- Identify potential defects or deficiencies in safety systems and report them immediately to the Chief Officer or Master.
- Assist in general deck duties and navigational support as required by the vessel's operations.
- Ensure all safety gear is accessible and clearly marked for emergency use.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Third Officer (Deck).
- Valid STCW 2010 certificates, including Basic Safety, Advanced Firefighting, PSCRB, and Medical First Aid.
- Minimum required sea service hours as stipulated by maritime authorities.
- Physically fit with a valid medical certificate issued by an approved medical practitioner.
- Proficient in English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
