Are you a precision-driven professional looking to make a significant impact in the manufacturing sector? Advanced Assembly Materials is seeking a highly skilled Tooling Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pasir Gudang. In this role, you will be the technical backbone of our manufacturing process, ensuring that our tooling systems perform at peak efficiency to meet the rigorous demands of new product launches and high-volume production.

As our Tooling Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end management of tooling for new products, optimize existing die designs, and provide critical support to the production floor to minimize downtime. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who is passionate about manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.

Tanggung Jawab

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of new product tooling to ensure seamless production transitions.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and improvements of dies and molds to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Provide expert technical support to the production department to troubleshoot tooling-related issues and reduce downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen/Lean) to optimize manufacturing cycle times and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review engineering drawings and provide DFM (Design for Manufacturing) feedback.
  • Manage maintenance schedules for tooling inventory and coordinate with external vendors for fabrication or repairs.
  • Ensure all tooling processes strictly adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Kualifikasi

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a tooling or die engineering role, preferably in an assembly or high-precision manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo) for design and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of material science, heat treatment processes, and metal stamping or injection molding technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems under tight production deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to process optimization and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Malay to coordinate effectively with production teams and suppliers.
