Are you a skilled precision technician looking for a challenging role in a high-tech manufacturing environment? Plasmotech Batam is currently seeking a detail-oriented Tooling Technician to join our expert production team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our mold management lifecycle, ensuring that our production capabilities remain world-class through precise maintenance, troubleshooting, and new mold assembly.
As a Tooling Technician, you will work closely with engineering teams to execute tooling activities, manage the fabrication of new molds, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize production downtime. We are looking for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of mold mechanics and industrial precision tools.
Tanggung Jawab
- Execute the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of new injection molds to meet production requirements.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance (PM) on production molds to ensure peak operational efficiency.
- Conduct urgent repair and refurbishment of damaged tooling components to reduce manufacturing downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and improve cycle times.
- Maintain precise documentation of all tooling activities, maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory.
- Operate manual and CNC precision machinery (lathes, milling, grinders) to fabricate or modify mold components.
- Ensure all tooling workshops comply with safety protocols and 5S standards.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma (D3) or Vocational High School (SMK) graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Tooling Technician or Mold Maker in a plastics injection molding environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
- Strong knowledge of mold materials, heat treatment processes, and surface finishing techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and handle multi-tasking under production pressures.
- Willingness to work shifts as required by the production schedule.
