We are looking for a talented and customer-focused Tour Guide cum Driver who is fluent in Chinese to join our growing team in Kota Kinabalu. As our Tour Guide cum Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that every guest enjoys a safe, informative, and memorable trip. You will drive our clients to iconic destinations such as Mount Kinabalu, Sapi Island, and the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary, while providing engaging commentary in Chinese and English. You will also assist in planning itineraries, managing logistics, and providing local insights that go beyond the typical tourist experience.
We offer a competitive salary between RM 1,900 to RM 2,500 per month, plus attractive incentives. Comprehensive training will be provided to sharpen your guiding and driving skills. You will also have the opportunity to earn additional tips and bonuses based on performance.
To succeed, you need a valid driving license, a passion for tourism, fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, and a knack for storytelling. - Drive guests to various destinations in Sabah, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Conduct guided tours in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, sharing interesting facts, history, and local stories.
- Plan and coordinate daily tour itineraries based on client preferences and schedule.
- Assist guests with special requests, including recommendations for dining, activities, and local customs.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the tour vehicle.
- Manage payments, receipts, and tour documentation as required.
- Provide first aid assistance if necessary and respond to emergencies calmly.
- Uphold the company’s high standards of service and professionalism at all times.
Kualifikasi
- At least 1 year of experience in tour guiding, driving, or a related field.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
- Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, both verbal and written.
- Thorough knowledge of Sabah’s tourist attractions, culture, and geography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to handle diverse groups of tourists and adapt to different situations.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours.
