Join Go-Ahead Singapore as a Traffic Inspector and play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our public transportation network. This position involves conducting onboard fare inspections to verify valid fare payment and identify non-compliance or misuse of fare cards and concession passes. You will be at the forefront of revenue protection, ensuring fair travel for all commuters while maintaining operational efficiency.
As a Traffic Inspector, you will patrol buses and trains to conduct systematic fare checks, educate passengers on fare regulations, and document violations. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations professionally, attention to detail to detect fare evasion, and collaboration with enforcement teams to resolve discrepancies. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct onboard fare inspections to verify valid fare payment and concession passes
- Identify and document fare evasion, misuse of concession passes, and non-compliance cases
- Issue warnings or penalties according to company policies and regulatory guidelines
- Provide clear communication to passengers regarding fare regulations and payment options
- Collaborate with station staff and enforcement teams to coordinate inspection operations
- Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and reported incidents
- Assist in developing strategies to improve fare compliance and revenue protection
Kualifikasi
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in transport enforcement preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in fare inspection, customer service, or security roles
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Keen attention to detail and ability to identify fare discrepancies quickly
- Proficient in digital reporting systems and mobile inspection devices
- Valid Singaporean work permit or citizenship
- Basic knowledge of Singapore's public transport fare systems and concession schemes
