Sinohydro Corporation, a global leader in infrastructure and engineering, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Translator to join our project team in Teluk Bintuni, Papua Barat. In this role, you will act as a vital communication bridge, facilitating seamless collaboration between our multinational engineering teams, local stakeholders, and project management.
As part of our mission to deliver world-class infrastructure projects, you will ensure technical, administrative, and contractual documentation is accurately translated to maintain project momentum. We are looking for a professional who thrives in an onsite industrial environment and possesses the linguistic precision required for large-scale engineering operations.
Tanggung Jawab
- Translate technical documents, engineering manuals, and project reports accurately between Mandarin and Indonesian/English.
- Provide real-time interpretation during site meetings, safety briefings, and negotiations between expatriate staff and local workers.
- Assist project managers in drafting administrative correspondence and maintaining project records.
- Review translations to ensure technical terminology is consistent with industry standards and Sinohydro internal protocols.
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication to ensure operational alignment across all project departments.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity regarding sensitive project-related information.
- Support onsite management with daily task coordination and administrative workflow tracking.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Literature, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in translation or interpretation, preferably within the construction, mining, or engineering sector.
- Fluent in Mandarin (HSK 5 or above equivalent) and Indonesian; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of technical and engineering terminology.
- Willingness to be stationed in Teluk Bintuni, Papua Barat (Onsite).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multinational team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
