As a Low Voltage Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our infrastructure projects. You will analyze blueprints, review technical specifications, and calculate material and labor costs for systems such as structured cabling, fire alarm, security, and low voltage power distribution. Tanggung Jawab
- Analyze architectural and engineering blueprints to determine project scope, material requirements, and labor hours for low voltage systems.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates, proposals, and take-offs for structured cabling, security, and fire alarm projects.
- Conduct on-site surveys or virtual walkthroughs to verify site conditions and gather data for precise estimation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure all estimates align with technical standards and client expectations.
- Review contracts and subcontracts to identify potential risks, scope changes, and necessary adjustments to the budget.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material pricing, and regulatory codes to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
- Assist in the preparation of Requests for Information (RFIs) and change orders to manage project scope effectively.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as an Estimator, Project Coordinator, or Quantity Surveyor in the low voltage or electrical construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Sage 300, ProEst, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in drawings.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with US construction standards and estimating practices is highly preferred.
