Are you a detail-oriented automotive professional with a keen eye for vehicle mechanics? PROTON is looking for a dedicated Used Car Inspector to join our expanding team in Kota Kinabalu. In this pivotal role, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring the quality and integrity of our pre-owned vehicle inventory.
You will be responsible for conducting thorough physical and mechanical evaluations of vehicles, documenting wear and tear, and identifying potential risks. Your expertise will directly influence our pricing strategy and purchase decisions, playing a crucial role in maintaining the high standards associated with the PROTON brand. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct comprehensive physical and mechanical inspections of pre-owned vehicles.
- Perform road tests to evaluate engine performance, braking, and transmission health.
- Document vehicle conditions, damages, and necessary repairs using standardized reporting software.
- Analyze inspection data to estimate repair costs and assess overall vehicle market value.
- Verify vehicle identification numbers (VIN), service histories, and documentation accuracy.
- Identify potential safety risks and non-compliance issues within the inventory.
- Provide detailed feedback to the procurement team to support data-driven buying decisions.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum SPM/STPM/Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 2-3 years of proven experience in automotive inspection, mechanic work, or vehicle appraisal.
- Deep understanding of automotive systems, including engine, chassis, and electrical components.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect mechanical irregularities quickly.
- Valid Malaysian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for reporting and inventory management.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong professional integrity.
