This role offers the unique flexibility of a Temporary Work From Home arrangement while providing critical support to Internal Medicine departments.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of medical documentation, focusing on adult care coordination, medication management reconciliation, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) validation. You will interact extensively with EMR systems to optimize clinical outcomes and documentation integrity. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform thorough clinical validation for inpatient (IP) records to ensure accuracy of DRG coding.
- Review Internal Medicine medical records to verify documentation supports the level of care and treatment provided.
- Coordinate medication management reviews to identify discrepancies and ensure patient safety.
- Navigate complex EMR systems, with a specific focus on Epic, to retrieve and audit patient data.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address documentation gaps and improve clinical coding quality.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements for US-based clinical documentation.
- Provide regular reporting on clinical validation findings and documentation accuracy trends.
Kualifikasi
- Must be a US Registered Nurse (USRN) with an active and unrestricted license.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience, preferably in Internal Medicine or Adult Care.
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic experience is highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, DRG structures, and clinical documentation improvement (CDI) processes.
- Prior experience with NYC-based healthcare facilities is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Reliable home office setup for a temporary work-from-home arrangement.
