Are you a dedicated IT professional looking for a unique maritime challenge? Global Process Manager Inc. is seeking a skilled Vessel IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure, communication systems, and applications on board our vessels, ensuring seamless operations even in remote environments.
We are looking for a proactive individual who can provide top-tier IT support to the crew, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure that all vessel systems are running efficiently. This is a full-time opportunity for someone passionate about technology and maritime operations.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage and maintain the vessel's IT infrastructure, including local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Provide comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting for onboard applications and hardware.
- Ensure the reliability and security of communication systems, such as satellite internet and VoIP.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications on vessels.
- Monitor system performance and perform regular preventive maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Assist crew members with IT inquiries, data management, and digital literacy training.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate inventory of IT assets.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of hardware components, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and network protocols.
- Experience with maritime communication systems or remote IT support is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a challenging environment.
- Valid certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are a plus.
- Willingness to work aboard vessels and travel as required.
