Railway Assets Corporation is seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to lead our safety mission. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a world-class HSE strategy that ensures the highest standards of safety for our workforce, assets, and the communities we serve. As a key member of the executive team, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within the railway industry.
You will oversee the entire HSE department, ensuring that all operations align with local Malaysian regulations and international best practices. This role requires a hands-on leader who can navigate complex safety challenges, manage crisis situations, and foster a proactive safety mindset across all levels of the organization. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute the corporate HSE strategy in alignment with Railway Assets Corporation's business goals and industry standards.
- Lead and mentor the HSE department, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE) regulations, OSHA standards, and other relevant local laws.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and environmental reviews to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate and analyze incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Lead emergency response planning and coordinate drills to ensure readiness for any crisis situation.
- Promote a culture of safety through training programs, safety committees, and continuous communication initiatives.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or CMIOSH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive management role.
- Proven track record of implementing successful safety management systems in the railway, engineering, or heavy industry sector.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, waste management, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex safety data and make data-driven decisions.
