PT Norimiso Makmur Sejahtera is actively looking for an experienced and dedicated WTP / WWTP Engineer to join our technical team in Balikpapan. As a key technical resource, you will be responsible for the end-to-end engineering of water and wastewater treatment systems for our diverse portfolio of industrial and commercial projects across East Kalimantan. Your primary role will involve conceptualizing, designing, and implementing robust treatment solutions that guarantee water quality and environmental compliance.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage projects from initial client consultation and feasibility studies through detailed engineering design, procurement support, construction supervision, and final commissioning. You will conduct site assessments, develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), perform hydraulic calculations, and specify equipment. Monitoring existing plant performance, troubleshooting operational bottlenecks, and implementing optimization strategies to reduce OPEX and improve reliability will be key to your daily responsibilities.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes. Experience with membrane technologies (Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, MBR) and conventional treatment (clarifiers, filters, chemical dosing) is essential. You will work closely with contractors, regulatory bodies (KLHK), and internal stakeholders to ensure every project adheres to the highest safety, quality, and environmental standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Design and develop water treatment (WTP) and wastewater treatment (WWTP) systems for industrial and commercial projects.
- Lead installation, commissioning, and performance testing of treatment plants.
- Optimize plant operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance (AMDAL/UKL-UPL).
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, SOPs, and reports.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in WTP/WWTP design, operation, or project management.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment technologies including RO, UF, MBR, Filtration, and Chemical Dosing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, hydraulic calculation software, and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Hold a relevant professional engineer certificate (STRA/SKTTeknik) is a significant advantage.
- Willing to be based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.
