Skempton Construction Corporation is looking for a dedicated Accountant to manage the financial operations of our growing construction projects in Metro Manila. As an integral part of our finance team, you will ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely financial reporting, and strict adherence to regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial developments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to cost‑effective project delivery.
You will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Accounting Standards. In addition, you will handle tax computations, file BIR returns, and coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits. Your analytical mindset will help identify variances, improve internal controls, and support strategic planning through budget forecasting and cost analysis.
The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, a CPA license is a plus, and at least two years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry. Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP or QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills are required. - Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Process monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings in compliance with Philippine tax laws.
- Monitor project costs and provide variance analysis to support budget adherence.

Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA licensure is a plus.
- Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations.
