SPD Scientific is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team based in Pasir Panjang. As we continue to scale our operations across the Southeast Asia region, we are looking for a proactive individual who can ensure financial accuracy, streamline reporting processes, and provide valuable insights to support our strategic growth.
In this role, you will play a critical part in managing our day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, and supporting the broader regional finance initiatives. You will work in a fast-paced environment that values innovation, precision, and collaboration. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage full-set accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with reporting timelines.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, GST filings, and statutory audit requirements.
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of internal financial controls and accounting software.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries.
- Provide analytical support for regional business performance reviews.
Kualifikasi
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and local tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Prior experience in the Biotech, Medical Devices, or Life Sciences sector is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
