M.C. Rodail Sdn Bhd, a well-established construction company specializing in building and infrastructure works, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Assistant to join our finance team in Kuching, Sarawak.

In this role, you will provide essential support to the accounting department by assisting with day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely reporting. You will work closely with senior accountants and project managers to track costs and support the financial health of ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports.
  • Handle daily accounting tasks including data entry, invoicing, and payment processing.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and expense verification.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Cooperate with project teams to track construction material and labor costs.

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Perform daily accounting tasks such as data entry, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.
  • Liaise with project teams to track construction-related costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant tax regulations.
  • Handle correspondence with external auditors and tax agents when required.

Kualifikasi

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting (fresh graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and SST is an added advantage.
  • Possess strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
