Accountant - Large Steel Plant

Job Description

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd is representing a Large Steel Plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor, seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to contribute to a dynamic industrial environment.

As the Accountant, you will oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. You will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, tax management, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents for audit and tax filing matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Implement and improve internal control procedures.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or steel industry.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, SST, and corporate tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
