Our client, a highly reputable A1 Main Contractor in Singapore, is seeking an experienced Assistant Contract Manager for a landmark LTA MRT Project in the East Region. This strategic role manages the commercial and contractual functions of a multi-million dollar civil infrastructure project.
The Role:
As the Assistant Contract Manager, you will be a key member of the project management team, providing strategic commercial advice and ensuring contractual compliance. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle from pre-tender to final account close-out. You will manage procurement strategies, evaluate and negotiate complex subcontract packages, and effectively manage variation orders and claims. You will ensure strict adherence to PSSCOC guidelines and LTA requirements, proactively mitigating risks.

The Ideal Candidate:
You hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with deep knowledge of PSSCOC, SIA, or REDAS forms of contract. A proven track record on LTA projects is essential. You are commercially astute, a strong negotiator, and adept at driving projects to successful completion under tight deadlines. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are vital.

- Assist in the overall contract administration for the LTA civil infrastructure project.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate subcontract tender packages and procurement strategies.
- Manage the submission of progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to the client.
- Assess and certify subcontractors' progress payments and final accounts.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, cash flow projections, and budget forecasts.
- Resolve contractual disputes and claims in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise closely with the project team, client's representatives, and consultants on all contractual matters.
Kualifikasi
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in a main contracting firm, specifically in civil infrastructure.
- Essential: Proven track record working on LTA/MRT projects.
- Thorough knowledge of PSSCOC, SIA, and local construction procurement practices.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders.
- Highly organized, meticulous, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant construction software (e.g., Aconex, SAP).
