Are you passionate about wildlife conservation and avian care? Mandai Wildlife Group is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Curator, Avian to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the welfare of our diverse bird collection and support our mission in conservation and education.
In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily husbandry, management, and enrichment of our avian residents. You will work closely with the Curatorial team to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, exhibit maintenance, and public engagement. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the daily husbandry and welfare of the avian collection, including feeding, health monitoring, and enrichment.
- Assist in the design, construction, and maintenance of avian exhibits to ensure naturalistic and stimulating environments.
- Participate in breeding programs and contribute to scientific research and data recording.
- Conduct public presentations and educational talks to engage visitors and foster appreciation for wildlife.
- Maintain accurate records related to animal behavior, health, and enclosure conditions.
- Collaborate with the veterinary and operations teams to implement health management protocols.
Kualifikasi
- A Degree or Diploma in Zoology, Biology, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in zookeeping, avian husbandry, or a similar conservation role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of avian physiology, nutrition, and behavior.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A valid Food Handlers certificate is an added advantage.
