As an Assistant Director of Research and Infrastructure Safety at Nanyang Technological University, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety across our research facilities and infrastructure. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures for research facilities and infrastructure at NTU.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety initiatives and training programs to ensure compliance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health Act and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with academic departments, research centers, and construction teams to integrate safety considerations into planning and operations.
- Investigate safety incidents, prepare detailed reports, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Manage the safety aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on emerging safety technologies, best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve NTU's safety framework.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 8-10 years of progressive experience in safety management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Professional certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or equivalent).
- Extensive knowledge of Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health regulations and construction safety standards.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations in educational or research settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience managing safety aspects of construction projects from planning through to completion.
- Proficiency in safety management software and data analysis tools.
