We are representing a global leader in the palm oil industry, operating one of the largest export networks with a sophisticated trading house specializing in vegetable oils, specialty fats, and high-value commodity derivatives. As we continue to expand our regional footprint, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Assistant Finance Manager - Statutory Reporting to join our high-performing finance team in Kuala Lumpur.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our statutory financial reporting. You will work closely with the regional finance leadership to maintain robust financial governance, ensuring all filings meet local regulatory requirements and international accounting standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to strict reporting timelines.
- Coordinate effectively with internal and external auditors to ensure seamless audit cycles and timely resolution of audit queries.
- Analyze complex financial transactions and ensure correct accounting treatment for commodity derivatives and specialized trading activities.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, implementing best practices to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support the Finance Manager in tax compliance matters and ensure all statutory filings are submitted punctually.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Keep updated with changes in accounting standards and tax regulations to provide informed recommendations to management.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or ICAEW is strongly preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within a large multinational corporation or a commodity-based trading environment.
- In-depth knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and local Malaysian tax legislation.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Exceptional analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professional maturity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
