We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic team on a Large Scale Solar (LSS) project based in Kelantan, northern Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless execution of the project from the initial design and planning phases through to final commissioning and handover. You will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, managing and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and proactively resolving any technical or logistical challenges that arise. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach and excellent organizational skills to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will possess robust project management experience, ideally within the renewable energy, power generation, or heavy civil engineering sectors. A strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, electrical balance of plant (eBoP), and civil works is highly advantageous. You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively between the site team, internal departments, and external consultants. The ability to thrive in a remote, site-based environment is essential.

Tanggung Jawab
- Support the Project Manager in the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of the LSS solar farm project in Kelantan.
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring all construction activities adhere strictly to the project schedule and allocated budget.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure high-quality workmanship and optimal productivity.
- Enforce stringent Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify potential risks or delays, and prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders.
- Manage technical queries, Requests for Information (RFI), and ensure that design specifications are accurately implemented on-site.
- Assist in contract administration, including the evaluation of variation orders and processing of progress claims.
- Liaise effectively with local authorities, landowners, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant project operations.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant site-based experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years specifically within the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of successfully contributing to a Large Scale Solar (LSS) project or similar power generation plant is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of project management principles, contract management, cost control, and scheduling methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging, and remote site environment in Kelantan.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and the full MS Office Suite.
- Professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CIDB) are considered a distinct advantage.
