In this critical role, you will serve as a fierce advocate for children in foster care, ensuring their safety, stability, and emotional well-being. You will act as the primary bridge between foster families, biological parents, and relevant agencies, overseeing complex casework with a focus on permanency planning and child-centric interventions. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage a caseload of foster children, conducting regular home visits and assessments to ensure safety and developmental needs are met.
- Provide clinical support and guidance to foster parents, helping them navigate the challenges of therapeutic caregiving.
- Facilitate case conferences and coordinate care plans with multi-disciplinary stakeholders, including schools, medical professionals, and government agencies.
- Conduct thorough home study assessments for potential foster families to ensure suitable placements.
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely case documentation in compliance with organizational and statutory requirements.
- Advocate for the best interests of the child during legal proceedings and family court interactions.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to families during periods of transition or instability.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (accredited by the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board).
- Proven experience in child welfare, fostering, or family-focused casework is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local child protection legislation and safeguarding frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups including high-needs children and families.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Strong emotional intelligence and resilience, with the capacity to manage complex, sensitive situations with empathy and professional boundaries.
- Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office suite.
