The successful candidate will provide high-level legal services to the University. This includes reviewing and drafting legal documents, representing the university in administrative and judicial proceedings, and ensuring that all university policies and transactions are compliant with existing laws. The role demands a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of government regulations, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal ethics.

Tanggung Jawab
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to the University President, Board of Regents, and administrative offices on a broad spectrum of legal issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, memoranda of agreement, and other legal instruments.
- Represent the university in civil, criminal, administrative, and labor cases before courts and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal opinions, position papers, and briefs.
- Assist in the development and review of university codes, policies, and guidelines to ensure legal soundness.
- Handle administrative cases and grievances, including those filed with the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
- Manage compliance with data privacy laws, intellectual property rights, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with government agencies such as the CHED, COA, and the Department of Justice on relevant matters.
Kualifikasi
- Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized law school.
- Eligibility: Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing (RA 1080). Career Service Professional or Bar Eligibility.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in legal work, preferably in government or state universities and colleges (SUCs).
- Training: Minimum of sixteen (16) hours of relevant legal training.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse academic environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be willing to relocate or be assigned in the Ilocos Region.
