Tanggung Jawab
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws following standardized protocols
- Label, document, and transport specimens while maintaining chain of custody integrity
- Verify patient identification and explain procedures to ensure informed consent
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards during collections
- Operate and calibrate collection equipment including vacutainers and centrifuges
- Prepare specimens for analysis while adhering to laboratory quality assurance guidelines
- Resolve collection issues and communicate effectively with laboratory staff
Kualifikasi
- Valid Authorized Specimen Collector certification or equivalent phlebotomy license
- 1+ years of clinical specimen collection experience in healthcare setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and specimen handling regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to comfort anxious patients
- Proficiency in medical terminology and specimen processing protocols
- Basic computer skills for documentation and specimen tracking systems
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle specimens safely
