Are you a fluent Chinese speaker with exceptional translation skills? PT Moneng Chemical Indonesia, a prominent player in the chemical industry, is seeking a qualified Chinese Translator to join our team in Tangerang, Banten. In this role, you will be the linguistic bridge between our Chinese partners and local operations. Your primary responsibilities include translating technical documents, business correspondence, contracts, and marketing materials from Chinese to Indonesian and vice versa with high accuracy. You will also interpret during meetings, conferences, and site visits, ensuring clear and culturally appropriate communication.
We are looking for someone who pays meticulous attention to detail, understands the nuances of both languages, and can work efficiently under deadlines. Experience with translation tools and software is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a background in translation, linguistics, or a related field, and familiarity with the chemical industry is advantageous. Tanggung Jawab
- Translate written documents such as technical manuals, emails, reports, and legal contracts between Chinese (Mandarin) and Indonesian.
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, negotiations, and conferences to ensure effective cross-cultural communication.
- Proofread and edit translated materials to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
- Review and adjust translations to reflect cultural subtleties and industry-specific terminology (including chemical and industrial terms).
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive company and client information.
- Assist in the development of bilingual glossaries and translation guidelines to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with external translators or agencies when workload exceeds capacity.
- Support the marketing and business development teams by translating promotional content and communications.
Kualifikasi
- Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and Indonesian languages, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional translation and interpretation experience, preferably in an industrial or corporate setting.
- Proven ability to translate technical and commercial documents with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and office software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
- Professional certification in translation or interpretation is a plus.
