Graha Karya Informasi is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Centre Engineer (Linux) to join our infrastructure team in Batam. In this role, you will be the backbone of our operational reliability, ensuring our server environments are secure, scalable, and performing at peak capacity.
You will work closely with cross-functional IT teams to manage physical hardware installations, perform complex troubleshooting, and optimize Linux server configurations. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of Linux system administration, network infrastructure, and data center hardware. Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and maintain data center server hardware, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform Linux-based operating system installations, configuration, and security hardening.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within the server environment, including network connectivity and storage systems.
- Manage data center infrastructure cabling, rack layout, and power management.
- Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team to implement system upgrades and patches.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 technical support and incident response.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations or server administration.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (RedHat, CentOS, or Ubuntu environments).
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with hardware components such as servers, storage arrays, and network switches.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical issues clearly.
- Willingness to work shifts and provide emergency support when necessary.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability.
