Chubb Insurance is the world's largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer, operating in 54 countries. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our highly successful Accident & Health team as a DM Dread Disease Underwriter in our Singapore office.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a dedicated portfolio of Dread Disease and Critical Illness insurance products. Evaluating complex medical and financial risks, developing competitive pricing strategies, and ensuring long-term portfolio profitability will be central to your success. You will collaborate closely with distribution partners across multiple channels—including brokers, agents, and bancassurance—providing timely, accurate, and expert underwriting decisions that drive significant business growth and market share expansion. Furthermore, you will work alongside the Product Development, Claims, and Reinsurance teams to continuously refine product features, manage risk exposure, and streamline operational processes.

Tanggung Jawab
- Evaluate and underwrite new business applications, renewals, and endorsements for Dread Disease and Critical Illness products within delegated authority limits.
- Analyze complex medical records, financial statements, and occupational hazards to make sound risk assessment decisions.
- Partner with distribution channels (brokers, agents, bancassurance) to deliver exceptional service, technical support, and tailored solutions.
- Develop and refine pricing models, product terms, and conditions to maintain market competitiveness while adhering to profitability targets.
- Work closely with reinsurers on treaty and facultative placements to structure optimal risk transfer solutions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging trends, and recommend corrective actions or product enhancements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting guidelines, policies, and best practices.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior underwriters and support cross-functional teams with product expertise and market insights.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of underwriting experience, specifically within Accident & Health, Critical Illness, or Dread Disease products.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in an Asian language is an added advantage.
- Professional insurance designations (e.g., FINS, ANZIIF, CII) are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make decisive underwriting decisions.
- Deep understanding of the Singapore insurance market landscape, competitor dynamics, and regulatory requirements (MAS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with underwriting management systems.
