- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for electrical projects.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs of materials, equipment, and labor required for electrical systems.
- Obtain and evaluate competitive bids from electrical suppliers and subcontractors.
- Utilize industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Trimble) to compile and submit complete bid packages.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope of work and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data, material prices, and labor rates to ensure accurate future estimates.
- Participate in bid review meetings and assist in developing competitive bidding strategies.
- Track awarded projects and assist in the transition from estimation to project execution.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or Assistant Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, construction methods, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience with electrical estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and thrive in a remote team environment.
