Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the end-to-end fabric development process for ladieswear collections, from seasonal concept through to bulk production.
- Research and source innovative fabrics, materials, and trims globally, ensuring alignment with design vision, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, product development, and production teams to translate creative concepts into viable fabric solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations on pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and quality specifications.
- Conduct rigorous testing and analysis of new fabrics to ensure they meet performance, durability, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot fabric-related issues during the development and production phases, proposing effective solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest fabric trends, textile technologies, market innovations, and sustainable practices in the ladieswear industry.
- Maintain comprehensive fabric libraries and documentation for all developed materials.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in fabric development specifically within ladieswear, preferably for an international retail or sourcing organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of various fabric types, constructions, finishes, and dyeing processes relevant to ladieswear.
- Strong understanding of fabric testing methods, quality control standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD for textiles) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify trends and translate them into commercially viable fabric solutions.
