Join QBE Insurance's dynamic finance team as a Senior Specialist in General Accounting. This critical role involves meticulously reviewing and processing vendor invoices, resolving complex payment discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of financial data for our service company operations. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to streamline financial workflows, maintain accurate ledger records, and contribute to monthly closing processes. This position offers the opportunity to work with global insurance industry standards while developing expertise in financial controls and regulatory compliance.
As a key member of our Manila-based finance hub, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting QBE's commitment to operational excellence and financial transparency. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting skills and business acumen to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting accuracy.
Tanggung Jawab
- Review, validate, and process high-volume vendor invoices in compliance with company policies
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies through proactive communication with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation
- Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement items
- Assist in month-end closing processes including journal entries and variance analysis
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to resolve financial discrepancies
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives for accounts payable functions
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in general accounting or accounts payable
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in multinational or insurance industry preferred
