Financial Accountant

Legs Eleven Limited is a dynamic company with operations in Australia and the Philippines. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to take full ownership of the finance function for our Australian operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a cross-border team and gain exposure to international accounting standards.

As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws, and providing strategic financial insights to management. You will work closely with the Australian team to streamline processes and support business growth.

This role is based in our Manila City office, within a collaborative environment that values professionalism and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations including GST, FBT, and income tax
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and controls
• Support the Australian team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is highly preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably with exposure to Australian accounting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
