PeterLabs is currently seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations, reporting, compliance, and internal controls of the company. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the organization while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and corporate governance.
You will lead a team of finance professionals, driving process improvements and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting, providing critical insights to the executive management team to support business growth and decision-making.
Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Lead the monthly and annual financial reporting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial statements.
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MASB), IFRS, and statutory regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget and long-term financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Analyze financial performance trends, variance reporting, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Manage banking relationships and handle treasury activities, including cash flow management and financing arrangements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or MICPA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar Financial Controller or Senior Finance role.
- Strong working knowledge of Malaysian GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
- Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop finance staff.
- Proficient in financial modeling, cost accounting, and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly.
