Join Coherent, a global leader in lasers, engineered materials, and networking components, as a Fixed Assets Accountant. As a vertically integrated manufacturing company, we rely on precision and innovation, and we're seeking a meticulous professional to safeguard our financial assets. In this critical role, you'll manage our fixed asset lifecycle—from acquisition to disposal—ensuring compliance with international accounting standards while optimizing asset utilization. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to reconcile physical inventories with financial records, prepare depreciation schedules, and support internal/external audits. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage fixed asset ledger, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation calculations
- Conduct monthly reconciliations between fixed asset sub-ledger and general ledger
- Coordinate physical asset verification and tagging exercises
- Prepare asset register reports and supporting documentation for audits
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies on fixed assets
- Optimize asset lifecycle management through cost-benefit analysis
- Collaborate with procurement and facilities teams on capital expenditure processes
- Develop and maintain fixed asset accounting procedures
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Malaysian accounting standards
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or ACCA designation preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Experience with asset management software (e.g., AssetWorks)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
