Join United World College South East Asia's dynamic athletics team as a Full-Time Climbing Coach for our International Education Centre (IEC) program. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape student development through climbing, starting August 2026. As a key member of our sports department, you'll design and implement comprehensive climbing curricula that promote physical fitness, mental resilience, and teamwork. The position requires direct reporting to the Head of Sport, where you'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate climbing within the school's holistic educational framework. Tanggung Jawab
- Design and implement progressive climbing curricula for beginner to advanced skill levels
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with climbing industry standards
- Organize intra-school climbing competitions and external tournament participation
- Develop personalized training plans for competitive climbers
- Maintain climbing equipment and facility management
- Coordinate with sports medicine team for injury prevention protocols
- Mentor student climbing leaders and peer coaching initiatives
- Document student progress and program outcomes for institutional reporting
Kualifikasi
- Minimum 3 years professional climbing coaching experience
- Certification in climbing safety and rescue operations (e.g., PCIA or equivalent)
- First Aid and CPR certification with wilderness medicine preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field
- Experience working with adolescent athletes in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of competitive climbing formats (bouldering, sport, speed)
- Proficiency in facility management and equipment maintenance
- Cross-cultural communication skills in diverse international environments
