PT. Global Papua Abadi is currently seeking a visionary and results-driven General Manager Agriculture (GM Agri) to lead our operations in Merauke, South Papua. As an integrated sugar industry recognized as a National Strategic Project (Proyek Strategis Nasional), we are at the forefront of Indonesia's food security initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale plantation operations, optimizing agricultural output, and driving organizational excellence in a challenging and high-growth environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale industrial plantations, preferably within the sugar industry, and possess the leadership gravitas to manage complex cross-functional teams. You will play a crucial role in shaping the operational strategy of a project that holds significant national importance, ensuring that sustainability, efficiency, and productivity goals are met at every stage.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute comprehensive agricultural strategies to maximize yield and operational efficiency for the sugar plantation.
- Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams across field operations, logistics, and plantation maintenance.
- Oversee daily agricultural activities, ensuring strict adherence to best agronomic practices and company policies.
- Manage large-scale operational budgets, ensuring cost optimization and resource allocation efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, local authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment with the National Strategic Project requirements.
- Implement and monitor sustainability initiatives and environmental compliance standards.
- Analyze crop performance data and environmental factors to continuously improve production processes.
- Maintain high safety standards and promote a culture of operational excellence within the workforce.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, or a related field.
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in plantation management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale industrial sugar or palm oil plantation operations.
- Strong understanding of agronomy, soil science, irrigation, and agricultural mechanization.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and crisis management skills.
- Willingness to be based in Merauke, Papua Selatan.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential.
- Strong background in financial management and budget oversight for large-scale projects.
