Ingredion Incorporated is a leading global ingredient solutions provider, and we are looking for a dedicated and meticulous GL Accountant to join our high-performing Finance Shared Services team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is specifically focused on supporting our operations within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region, offering a unique opportunity to work in a diverse, international environment and gain exposure to global accounting standards.
As a GL Accountant, you will be a vital part of our Record-to-Report (R2R) function. You will be responsible for the end-to-end general ledger process, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements. We are seeking a professional who is not only technically proficient but also possesses the analytical mindset to identify process improvements and enhance reporting efficiency.

Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the full spectrum of General Ledger activities for designated entities within the EMEA region.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes according to global corporate timelines.
- Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items are cleared promptly.
- Support the fixed asset management process, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposal tracking.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX) and corporate financial policies.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams and other Shared Service departments to resolve accounting queries and improve workflow efficiency.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or MIA) is highly preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, ideally within a Multinational Corporation (MNC) or Shared Services environment.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Hands-on experience with SAP or a similar large-scale ERP system is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced functions and pivot tables.
- Strong command of written and spoken English to effectively communicate with stakeholders in the EMEA region.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and demonstrate high attention to detail.
- Willingness to adapt working hours occasionally to align with EMEA time zones during peak closing periods.
