Sea Hawk Global Lines, a premier provider of integrated logistics and shipping solutions in Malaysia, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Haulage Maintenance Executive to join our operations in Port Klang. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of fleet serviceability within a fast-paced and growing environment.
As the Haulage Maintenance Executive, you will be the key driver behind the operational readiness of our modern fleet of prime movers and trailers. Your primary responsibility is the end-to-end management of fleet serviceability. You will develop and implement robust preventive maintenance programs, oversee all repair activities, manage a dedicated workshop team, and coordinate with external vendors. Ensuring strict compliance with Malaysian road transport regulations (JPJ, APAD, and Puspakom) is a critical aspect of this role, as is controlling maintenance budgets to maximize uptime and minimize operational costs.
In this role, you will monitor vehicle defect reports, plan workshop workflows, manage spare parts inventory, and provide strategic performance reports to management. Tanggung Jawab
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end management of fleet serviceability, ensuring all prime movers and trailers are safe, roadworthy, and fully operational.
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) to minimize unplanned breakdowns and optimize the asset lifecycle.
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate with external workshops, spare parts suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including JPJ enforcement, APAD licensing, Puspakom inspections, and road tax renewals.
- Manage the fleet maintenance budget, track expenses, negotiate with vendors, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, asset databases, and warranty claims.
- Collaborate closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure vehicle availability meets operational demands and delivery schedules.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in fleet maintenance management within the haulage, transport, or logistics industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicles (prime movers and trailers), including diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, and electrical systems (experience with Scania, Volvo, Hino, or UD Trucks is an advantage).
- A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing maintenance teams.
- Solid understanding of Malaysian road transport laws, safety regulations, and compliance standards (JPJ, APAD, Puspakom, OSHA).
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and negotiate effectively with suppliers and contractors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and fleet management software systems.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
